Dear ASCM Community Members,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the research project Impact of Covid-19 on the Canadian Supply Chain Management SectorOpportunities and Challenges involving Seneca College and ASCM Toronto Chapter community. We would like to launch this research in the next few months.

Seneca College has always prioritized its engagement with industry partners to contribute to the economic well-being of the society. This is why Dr. Olga Brouckova and Dr. Abdul Naveed Tariq of the School of Human Resources and Global Business, Seneca College, are investigating the unprecedented business challenges and opportunities that have emerged as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This research seeks to understand issues such as the disruption of transportation across the globe, shortage of employees with required skill sets, employee reluctance to work during the pandemic, employee / business partner frustration, driving and bringing value to existing and new customer relationships, and success and long-term growth of businesses in the supply chain management industry.

The end result of the project would be a report featuring research findings and recommendations, along with an executive presentation. Each will benefit participating businesses in their planning needs and strategy execution. The results may also be published in an academic journal and other industry publications. Public communications may be coordinated in partnership with Seneca College, or your anonymity and confidentiality of your data can be preserved if desired.

Seneca Business students will benefit from this study through assessing the latest trends and synthesis of knowledge that will be brought into the classroom.
