The Supply Chain Procurement Certificate program is a foundational education program designed to help both entry-level and experienced supply chain professionals expand their procurement knowledge and skills.  The program provides an overview of procurement fundamentals, sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, negotiations, evaluation metrics, and more. You’ll be better equipped to:

  • Develop a strategic sourcing strategy
  • Establish effective procurement policies
  • Effectively score supplier capabilities and select optimal suppliers
  • Engage in more effective contract management negotiations
  • Trace the purchase order flow from requirements identification to purchase order close-out
  • Review supplier and internal procurement organization performance using data and metrics
  • Engage in sustainable and ethical sourcing

How it works

The self-paced program includes 20 hours of education and a comprehensive final exam within an interactive online platform. You will also have access to flashcards, video clips, practice questions and more to help cultivate a stronger understanding of each topic.

This course will deliver 8 hours of instructor guided sessions (4 sessions of 2 hours) designed to guide the student through the course content with additional materials

After passing the exam, you will earn your certificate and a digital badge that you can display on your LinkedIn profile and within your email signature.

Your Instructor

Catherine Steel, CPIM, CSCP

Catherine Steel is a Buyer/Material Planner for LTS Solutions Ltd., a division of LEDCOR. Catherine is responsible for the procurement and inventory management of multiple Alberta based distribution warehouses providing primary support for project builds and emergency services under the telecom business umbrella for Canada.  Where material needs are dynamic, LTS sets the standard in customer service with transcending innovative processes and continuous vetting of key partnerships to keep the progressive service target in focus.

Catherine joined LTS from Flora Manufacturing Ltd, where she served as the packaging procurement officer for domestic and internationally sold nutraceutical products. Prior to Flora Manufacturing, she was a graphic designer and production coordinator for over fifteen years with a Vancouver, BC sports orientated company. Catherine holds a certification in CPIM and CSCP; both obtained over three years.

When not focused on Supply Chain goals, Catherine can be found rock climbing, hiking and downhill mountain biking in the great outdoors of BC and beyond.
