What if we looked at human civilization through the lens of the supply chain?
From the earliest systems that connected people to resources, through global trade, industrialization and military logistics, to today’s digitally connected world, supply chains have continually reshaped how humanity creates, moves and accesses value.

Join Abe Eshkenazi, CEO of ASCM, for a live conversation inspired by his book The Chain: Links That Bind Us. We’ll explore the ideas behind the book and go beyond it to examine how supply chains have shaped civilization, enabled innovation to reach new markets, and become increasingly central to business, technology, resilience and the future of our world. We’ll explore modern commerce world, and how the consumer is reshaping the value chains, from omnichannel experiences and the last mile to upstream decisions around sourcing, assortment and innovation; how digital technologies are changing supply chain design and decision making, from real-time visibility to digital twins and new operating models; and what COVID, geopolitical disruption and other shocks have taught us about balancing efficiency with resilience and adaptability.

With Abe’s planned transition from ASCM leadership at the end of 2026, this conversation offers a timely opportunity to explore not only The Chain, but the broader ideas and experiences that have shaped his perspective on the supply chain profession.

📚 Read. Think. Question. Engage: We strongly encourage participants to read or reread The Chain before the event. The more familiar you are with the ideas in the book, the more you’ll get out of the conversation.
